Location and Hours:
The W2AMC Peconic Amateur Radio Club station, is located at the Custer Institute, 1115 Main Bayview Rd, Southold NY 11971. The station is operational weekly for member’s and guest’s on Tuesdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Special arrangements can be made for contests, schedules, DX opportunities, etc. Please contact N2YIB for access.
Station Features:
The station has all-band capability from 160 meters through 70 cm; operating modes include: CW, SSB, FM, RTTY and WSJT Digital modes (JT65, FSK, JT9). Station operating manuals are available.
Transceivers:
YAESU FT-100(160M THRU 70CM)
KENWOOD TS-450 (160M THRU 10M)
Antenna Systems (for both transceivers):
3EL ROTATABLE HF YAGI (20M, 17M, 15M, 12M 10M)
6M 3 EL ROTATABLE YAGI
2M/70CM VERTICAL for VHF/UHF FM USE.
A 137 FT SLOPER (160M & 80M) for temporary use.
A 40M/30M/20M DIPOLE for temporary use.
Logging and Digital Communications:
The YAESU FT-100 is coupled with a desktop computer and Signalink digital interface provides digital communications from 160m thru 70cm. Logging is also available with AC Log software.
Power Supplies:
A Kenwood PS40 powers the LDG Z-100 Autotuner and the Signalink digital interface. The LDG Z-100 can be used with either HF transceiver on the 160M through 10M bands. The MFJ Manual 949B Tuner is used with the FT-100 on 160M or 80M only.
An RS-20A Power supply provides +12VDC for the Kenwood TS-450S and the Yaesu FT-100 radios.
